What about the final exam?
Your final exam is either held at a physical location on campus or is online with the rest of your materials. Sometimes, which final you take is your choice, and sometimes your instructor makes the choice for you. Or your instructor may use the final exam as a practice exam.
The details of your final exam may vary, so check your syllabus for more details, but generally speaking the following is true:
* All exams are timed and each time limit is predetermined by your instructor. The time limit will be stated in the exam instruction page (click on the exam activity to read exam instructions) before you begin the exam.
* The exams contain 200 True/False and 100 Multiple Choice questions developed from your e-textbook, and self-testing materials (Note: The number of exam questions given may vary depending on the instructor and the institution requirements. The number of questions will be stated in the exam instructions page before you begin the exam.)
* Test questions are arranged in banks of up to 16 items. You will be able to navigate to each set of questions by clicking the Next button at the bottom of each page. After you have given your answer for all the questions in an individual test bank, the test bank turns green. When you have completed all questions in the test and you see a folder view on the left menu highlighted in red means that you have unanswered questions in that test bank. Simply click on that test bank, answer the questions needed and click the Next button again at the bottom of the page to resubmit your answers to the system.
* When you complete your exam, click the Grade button at the top right to receive your score. The program will immediately show your score and forward those results to your instructor. If the exam time expires before you complete the exam the grading will automatically occur without giving you credit for any unanswered questions and the results will be forwarded to your instructor. Please monitor your time limit regularly.
* Be sure to review all of the self testing flashcards and multiple choice questions before you begin this uninterrupted examination.
* Begin the exam by clicking the blue Next button at the bottom right of the screen. This will activate the test, timer and lock your course materials. No other materials are permitted to be used during this examination because of the time factor. This exam will provide you with just enough time to read the question, give a response and return to any unanswered questions.
* NOTE: You CAN NOT enter the exam and quickly exit to resume the test later. Once you enter the test the test has begun. If you feel you are not ready to take the test, please click the Summary (Index) button at the top of the menu to the left to continue with your studies. No retest is permitted unless specifically directed by your instructor.
* If an error occurs or you experience a personal computer problem, close and reopen your browser, re-login to the site and you will be transported back to the test. These tests do work in all browsers but, we suggest using Internet Explorer to ensure that there is no way you could cause an error which might disrupt this test.
* NO FINAL EXAM RESETS are permitted unless requested by your instructor. If a reset is needed, contact your instructor and then have them contact us to request a exam reset. Your instructor can also apply resets by clicking their Teacher Tool, Create Roster Report, and clicking Review/Reset for a individual student.
